How can I control sheet metal movement in the left-right direction?
(1) Add a retaining pin at the location of the eccentricity.
This allows the left-right direction to be regulated by the retaining pin. However, the angular cam needs to be pre-cut because it is undercut in the mold layout.
(Since the addition of an angular cam would effectively mean a remake of the mold, the addition of a retaining pin in the left-right direction was abandoned.
(2) Change of side gate position
Is it possible to change the direction and value of the resin pressure by changing the position of the side gate from the core side to the cav side? I thought about it, but
No effect was observed on uneven wall thickness.
(3) Change in molding conditions
Compared to TRY1 (conventional conditions), conditions (1) through (4) are conditions in which the injection speed of the eccentric wall is switched.
Conditions (5) to (7) are conditions in which the injection pressure is switched for the eccentric wall.
Although there is a certain tendency to improve the thickness of the b section by reducing the injection speed and injection pressure, there is no concern about quality assurance for the improvement in the molding conditions.
However, we gave up on improving the molding conditions because we could not shake off our concerns about quality assurance.
