In automotive components, one part of a vehicle's exterior is made of piano black (mirror surface).
This is achieved by applying a mirror finish to the mould and transferring it to the moulded part.
The moulds (nests) for mirror finishing are different from general steel materials such as CENA-G and CENA-V.
The mould temperature is higher (90°) and the pressure higher (60 MPa or more) than that of general PP moulds.
This is to increase the transfer rate of the mirror surface to the moulded product.
If weld lines are NG with multi-point gating, the moulding is carried out using heat & cool.
