In automotive parts, one of the exterior parts of a vehicle is a part made of piano black (mirror finish).
This is achieved by applying a mirror finish to the mold and transferring it to the molded product.
The molds (nests) for mirror finishing are different from general steel materials such as CENA-G and CENA-V. The mold temperature is higher (90°) and the pressure is higher (60 MPa or higher) than that of general PP molds.
The mold temperature is higher (90°) and the pressure is higher (60 MPa or more) than that of general PP molds.
This is to increase the transfer rate of the mirror surface to the molded product.
If weld lines are NG at multiple gate points, molding is performed by heat & cool.
