PPS is one of the thermoplastic super engineering plastics with strong rigidity. It also has excellent insulation properties and has recently been used in battery peripheral parts for electric vehicles.
On the other hand, a disadvantage of PPS is that it is difficult to mould.
During moulding, its high fluidity causes it to penetrate the gaps in the mould and adhere as moulding burrs.
Therefore, a lot of post-moulding work (high processing costs) is required after moulding, which is a bottleneck.
Deburring method
The best means of deburring depends on the size of the moulded product, the number of lots and the number of personnel.
Although initial investment is required, one of our suggestions is the use of ultrasonic deburring machines for mass production.
We will introduce it here.
Advantages of ultrasonic deburring machines
・No choice of material or shape ・Deburring can be carried out while cleaning
・No hazardous substances are generated ・No special techniques or skills required
・Can be installed in clean rooms
