We carry out flow analysis using CAE before starting a mould.
However, as there is no consistency in the resins used and there is a wide range of resin types, if there is no resin data in the CAE, it is necessary to obtain new resin data.
If there is no resin data in the CAE, it must be obtained from a new source. Viscosity, in particular, is important when considering whether or not to fill the resin and the injection capacity of the moulding machine, so it must always be measured.
Viscosity is measured using Anton Paar's viscoelasticity measuring device.
Viscoelasticity measuring device MR302
Measured by applying torsional vibration to resin pellets at elevated temperatures.
Viscoelastic data obtained → input to flow analysis
