In resin molded products having a cylindrical shape, the gas at the tip of the cylindrical part could not be released, resulting in gas burning and weld lines.
Resin:PA66+GF25 Weld lines are visible at the tip of the cylindrical part.
At this time, a total of 36 gas vents were provided in the vertical direction on the product cylinder and on the mold side.
Factors that prevent gas venting despite the provision of gas vents include the following
①When the wall is thick with an unbalanced wallgas can easily accumulate (no escape route).
②If the resin contains glass fibers, etc., the fibers can easily clog the gas vent.
In other cases, gas venting may not work well due to product shape or molding conditions, such as when the filling is not balanced. In this case, we decided to review the gas venting once it was set in the vertical direction.
